David Golemboski is Associate Professor of Government & International Affairs at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD.

David Golemboski writes and teaches in the areas of political theory and public law, with particular interests in constitutional law, law and religion, and Catholic social thought. He is the author of Religious Pluralism & Political Stability: Obligations in Agreement (Routledge, 2022), and has published articles in scholarly journals such as Political Research Quarterly, European Journal of Political Theory, Journal of Law & Religion, Critical Review of International Social and Political Philosophy, Law & Philosophy, and Publius: The Journal of Federalism. He teaches courses in constitutional law, law and religion, and criminal law.

David holds a Ph.D. from Georgetown University, an M.T.S. from Harvard Divinity School, and a B.A. from the University of Louisville. Prior to Augustana, David held a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Kinder Institute on Constitutional Democracy at the University of Missouri.

David also writes and speaks regularly on the life and work of twentieth-century monk and social critic Thomas Merton. He is past-President of the International Thomas Merton Society, co-editor of the Merton Annual, and a Trustee of the Merton Legacy Trust.
